Meet the family:
The Cully family is a Christian, homeschooling family. We love God! We are sinners saved by the grace of Jesus. We love the flexibility of homeschooling. Each child homeschooled from the beginning. They have an independent and entrepreneurial mindset. We love pursuing alternative health remedies especially essential oils, when that makes sense. We desire to travel as a family and make our living from our travel experiences. We desire to share any knowledge and experience so that others may benefit and enjoy, too.
Meet Laurel:
Laurel is the main contributing author to this blog. She always thought she would like to try her hand at writing. She loves the idea of traveling, enjoying it with the whole family, and then writing about it so others can too. She has a background in hospital cardiac telemetry nursing. She is grateful for everything nursing taught and afforded her; but, the travel blogging lifestyle is her new passion and desire. She also enjoys representing a makeup company. Laurel loves reading and movies, good storytelling in every form. She is a typical introvert. She loves doing fun activities with people but needs to recharge with quiet time and reflection time.
Meet Scott:
Scott is our CFO and provides support on technical and business aspects of the blog. He has a background in mechanical engineering. He loves to travel and delights in observing wildlife and researching nature as well as history. He can be hyper focused on these political times and how history got us here. He is a typical extrovert and thrives on conversation and interaction with people. The girls vote him the title of designated bug killer in our family. He is a master at word association and delights in “dad puns” to our amusement and annoyance.
Meet Anna:
Anna is our eleventh grader who contributes blogging content ideas, website design and navigation. She has a particular interest and management in our media accounts, developing her own accounts first. Her first youtube channel The Craft Cabinet focused on crafts especially doll customization. Her current youtube channel Camera Unboxed focuses on photography and videography. Her instagram account Camera Unboxed focuses on taking special photos of her current interests. She is proud owner and companion of her nine year old cat named Pounce that she got as a kitten. He is a handsome half Russian Blue and half Siamese. He looks Russian Blue with Siamese facial bone structure. He is a big jumper. Anna also loves horseback riding. Anna is interested in ultimately pursuing photography, film and video production.
Meet Jennie:
Jennie is our eighth grader who contributes blogging content ideas and is a definite source of encouragement. She is managing with her own art instagram account and writing account following her sister’s path but with her own ideas and interests. She is a social butterfly. She has developed some researching skills looking up animals and history. She also loves to draw and is often found with a sketch pad and colored pencils. She is trying her hand at designing T-shirts. She loves horseback riding. She sees herself as an author, starting and developing over fifteen story ideas and proudly, finally completing a short story.
Meet Clara:
Clara is our sixth grader. She has some definite ideas and opinions about what kids like to do when the family travels. She has a mechanical mind and whipped together a lego set at five years old that was for ten years old and up. She loves to make stop motion videos after seeing her sisters dabble in it. This translates to editing skills and sound skills. She loves to make miniature accessories for her dolls often out of clay and other materials. She is also loving gymnastics, sewing, and baking. She makes the best chocolate chip cookies, and she can decorate a delicious cupcake!
